Excipient MultiFunctional B is manufactured by the esterification of glycerin and fatty acids, mainly caprylic (°70%) and capric. It contains not less than 95% of saturated fatty acids with 8 and 10 carbon atoms. It is prepared from raw materials of vegetable sources. It is miscible with most organic solvents including 96% ethanol. It is manufactured in USA.

RTU Hot-Melt Adhesive is a standard hotmelt silicone adhesive, specifically designed for transdermal drug delivery systems. It can be melted for coating, and then will return to a generally flowless state upon cooling. RTU Hot-Melt Adhesive adhesives are permeable to many drugs and excipients and are designed to adhere drug-loaded systems to the skin. RTU Hot-Melt Adhesive is produced through a condensation reaction of a silanol endblocked polydimethyl-siloxane (PDMS) with a silicate resin. The addition of a PDMS plasticizer to the condensate provides the adhesives hot melt characteristics.
