- IAM Binder A can be added to the thick or thin stock of the paper machine at solids levels of 0.5% to4.0% for internal strength development. The optimized point of addition and paste dilution levels can be determined with the assistance of your Cargill Technical Service personnel.
- Preparation - IAM Binder A should be prepared by jet cooking at temperatures between 240° F and 305° F. It can also be batch cooked by heating to 200°F with good agitation for a minimum of 20 minutes. A suggested final paste solids range off the cooker is 2% to 6%. Your Cargill Technical Service personnel can help determine the ideal cooking conditions for maximum performance of IAM Binder A.
