• CASE Ingredients Effect Pigment can be utilized in a variety of applications from decorative coatings to thermoset and thermoplastic molding products. For applications requiring more stringent specifications, Micaclad can be manufactured in custom colors or with unique particle distributions. Usual loading levels are 1 to 5 percent
• CASE Ingredients Effect Pigment is created with a delaminated particle. Delamination is a form of mechanically wet grinding the mica to create the thinnest particle possible while retaining the opacity and stability of the mineral. Creating a delaminated particle has tremendous benefits in compounding and both injection and rotational molding - including physically better flexibility, elasticity during production and ease on the equipment use. The aspect ratio is considerably higher with delaminated micas then normal mica particulates creating a significant improvement with dispersing and surfacing within the mold.
• Stable to most environmental conditions and withstanding temperatures above 500°F.
